Mumbai: Suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma has been missing. Nupur Sharma, who has been embroiled in controversy over remarks against the Prophet Mohammad, has been wanted by the Mumbai police for the past three days. The Maharashtra Home Department has said that the police have sufficient evidence to arrest Sharma while Nupur Sharma is registered at the Pidhoni police station in Mumbai.
Apart from the Mumbai police, a similar case has been registered against Nupur Sharma before the Thane Police Commissionerate.
At this point she made some remarks about the Prophet Muhammad, which was controversial in the city. Not only in India, many Gulf countries have started protesting against she’s remarks.
After his suspension from the party, BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma alleged that she had received death threats and misconduct after a fake video was tweeted about her making controversial remarks about Rasul Mohammad. Mohammad Zubair, co-founder of the website Alt News, widely edited the video of his speech in a debate and posted it on Twitter. Zubair will therefore be solely responsible for anything that happens to him or his family in the event of a threat.
