Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has invited investors and industrialists to participate in Make-in Odisha Conclave 2022 to be held in Bhubaneswar from November 30 to December 4. Addressing the Odisha Investor Conference organized in Mumbai in collaboration with the state government and industry association Fiki on Wednesday, the Chief Minister said that Odisha is the fastest growing state in India. The state’s growth has been higher than the national average for the last one and a half decades. We have emerged as a major industrial hub in Eastern India due to our abundant natural resource reserves and geographical presence. “For the last 20 years, our government has been emphasizing on achieving these benefits through progressive policies, effective administration and technological interventions,” he said. He called on investors to become partners in Odisha’s transformation journey. On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Patnaik met Anand Mahindra Chairman of Mahindra & Mahindra, Dinesh Khara Chairman of State Bank of India and Hitesh Doshi Chairman of Ware Engineers Limited.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik also met and discussed with Anil Agarwal, head of Vedanta Group. Mr. Agarwal said that the company aims to invest 25 thousand crore rupees in Odisha. The investment will be for expansion in aluminum, ferrochrome and mining business. So far, Vedanta has invested Rs 80,000 crore in the state, he said. Mr. Patnaik met Apar Industries Chairman Chaitanya Desai and invited him to set up related industries in Odisha. Similarly, met Jem Boxy Group MD Dhruv Kotak and discussed the investment opportunities in the port and logistics sector.
IDCO MD Bhupendra Singh Poonia, Fikki Maharashtra State Council Chairman Sulja Ferodia Motwani and others were present on the occasion. 300 delegates from the industrial world participated in this conference.
