Violence in France, About 150 protesters have been arrested by the police
Paris violence : After a 17-year-old girl, Nahel M., was killed in police firing on Tuesday morning, arson and violence were witnessed in Paris on Thursday morning. The violence spread to other cities as well. About 150 protesters have been arrested by the police.
The mother of the slain girls called for the agitation on Thursday. A protest was held in the Paris suburb of Nantes against the death of a girl who was shot by police for disobeying traffic rules. When the police tried to suppress the protesters, a clash started with the police.
President’s Reaction about the incident
President Emmanuel Macron condemned the killing of the minors, calling the situation a “dawn crisis” and urging people to remain calm.
