PM Kisan Yojana: The wait of crores of farmers of the country is coming to an end today. Because Prime Minister Narendra Modi will pay Rs 16,800 crore to the bank accounts of more than 8 crore farmers today.
According to the PM Kisan Yojana, eligible farmers are being given financial assistance of Rs 6,000 per year in installments of Rs 2,000 every 4 months. This amount is directly transferred to the beneficiary’s bank account. The scheme was launched in February, 2019 but has been implemented since December, 2018.
The Prime Minister will release the 13th installment of this scheme in Belagavi, Karnataka. According to official sources, Prime Minister Modi will release the 13th installment of PM Kisan Yojana at a function organized in Belagavi, Karnataka. Around one lakh people are expected to participate in the event, including the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Kisan and Jal Jeevan Mission. Union Agriculture Minister Shri NS Tomar and Agriculture Secretary Manoj Ahuja will also be present during this time.
It is worth noting that under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Yojana, Rs 2.25 lakh crore has been distributed so far.
The 11th installment of PM Kisan Yojana was given in the month of May 2022. The 12th installment was received by the farmers on October 2022. A total of Rs 2.25 lakh crore has been distributed to more than 11 crore farmers under this scheme so far. Of this, Rs 1.75 lakh crore was paid to farmers during the Covid-19 period.
