Surat: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today laying the foundation stone and inaugurating various projects worth Rs 3,400 crore in Surat.

Prime Minister Modi, who is on a two-day visit, will inaugurate the 36th National Games held for the first time in Gujarat.

A large number of people congratulated him on his arrival in Surat today. Addressing the public at the organized rally, Prime Minister Modi said that after the formation of the ‘double engine’ government in Gujarat, house construction has also increased at a rapid pace. Other facilities are also provided to the poor and middle class in Surat. About 4 crore poor patients in the country have been treated free of charge under the ‘Ayushman Bharat’ scheme. Out of which 32 lakhs are in Gujarat while 1.25 lakhs are in Surat.

During Navratri, there is an opportunity to lay foundation stones for infrastructure, sports and spiritual places in Gujarat. Surat is a great example of ‘public participation’ and unity. People from all over India live in Surat. Surat ‘Khudra-Bharat’.

The Prime Minister is scheduled to visit Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Surat, Bhavnagar and Ambaji on Thursday and Friday. During this time, he will lay the foundation stone of some projects or inaugurate some projects.
