Kejriwal’s appeal to PM Modi: Print photos of Mata Lakshmi and Sri Ganesh on notes

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today requested the Central Government to print pictures of Lord Ganesha and Goddess Lakshmi on the new currency notes to bring the economy back on track.

In a press conference held today, Kejriwal said, “We have to put in a lot of effort to bring the economy back to its former state.” Devotee’s blessings are also needed along with effort.

One side of Indian banknotes has Gandhiji’s portrait. Gandhiji’s picture should remain unchanged. If we print pictures of Ganesha and Lakshmi on the back of notes, the whole country would get their blessings.

Citing the example of Indonesia, he appealed to Prime Minister Modi to take similar steps in India. He said, Indonesia is a Muslim country. There are 85% Muslims and only 2% Hindus, but their money has the image of Sri Ganesh.

I request to the Prime Minister, should Mata Lakshmi and Sri Ganesh be printed on the newly printed rupees?
