Moscow: Russia has threatened to shoot down the civilian satellites of those countries if the US and other Western countries get involved in the war in Ukraine.
Konstantin Vorontsov, deputy director of the foreign ministry’s department for non-proliferation and arms control under the Russian Foreign Ministry, said that Russia will target quasi-civilian (semi-civilian) satellites of Western countries as a countermeasure. Even commercial satellites will be targeted, he said.
It is worth noting that the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia is gradually getting complicated. Because before other countries were secretly associated with different sides, now they have started participating in open war. On the one hand, the United States and the Western countries continue to supply various weapons to Ukraine, while on the other hand, Iran continues to supply drones and other weapons to Russia.
Recently, the United States has announced to provide some more missiles and other weapons to Ukraine. Similarly, Germany has also announced to give some weapons. On the other hand, Israel has refused to be involved in this war.
