Bhubaneswar: Former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and founder of the Samajwadi Party Mulayam Singh Yadav has passed away this morning, his son Akhilesh Yadav has informed.
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has expressed grief over Mulayam’s death. He wrote in a tweet on his official account, “I am saddened by the death of the founder of the Samajwadi Party and former Chief Minister of UP, Mulayam Singh Yadav.” This socialist leader will always be remembered for his contribution towards the development of the downtrodden. This morning at around 8.15 a.m. after the fact that he passed away came to be known from the sources. A veteran politician, Mulayam was previously the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and the Defense Minister of India. Mulayam’s son and Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav has reached Gurugram with his wife Dimple.
