SBI new services, New facility for crores of customers; Banking services available at home
Under the new initiative, five banking services - cash withdrawal, cash deposit, fund transfer, balance check and mini statement - will be offered initially.
SBI new services: State Bank of India (SBI) has launched ‘Mobile Handheld Device’ to provide banking convenience to customers at their doorsteps.
Under this, various banking services can be made available to the customers from the light devices provided by the bank. SBI Chairman Dinesh Khara said that the objective of this is to strengthen financial inclusion and provide essential banking services to the common man. This initiative is part of increasing accessibility and convenience in accessing banking services.
He said that this move brings ‘kiosk banking’ directly to customers. This gives more flexibility to customer service point (CSP) agents.
SBI new services : It will especially help in reaching out to people facing health problems, senior citizens and the poor. Khara added that under the new initiative, five banking services – cash withdrawal, cash deposit, fund transfer, balance check and mini statement – will be offered initially.
He said that the bank is also planning to introduce enrollment, account opening and card-based services under the social security scheme.
“Our objective is to make banking facilities available to all sections of the society, especially the unbanked, to fulfill the aspirations of financial inclusion,” said the SBI chairman.
SBI new services : With the introduction of Mobile Handheld Device, customers will have the experience of transacting at their location, he said. This technology will provide convenient and doorstep banking services to billions of customers.
