Bhubaneswar: The government has taken a big decision to popularize science among the youth. Like the Science City in Kolkata, Bhubaneswar will have a Science City. The state government has provided 30 acres of land for this purpose. This was stated by Science and Technology Minister Ashok Panda in the Assembly.
In response to a question in the Assembly, he said that a Science City would be set up in Bhubaneswar like the Science City in Calcutta. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has also approved it. The opening of the Science City in Bhubaneswar will further increase the knowledge of science among the students. Not only this, with the help of Science City it can help to correct the scientific data and errors in the students.
Similarly, a district science and planetarium center will be set up in Puri. There will be all the details of the Jagannath culture. Science and Technology Minister Ashok Panda, on the other hand, told the assembly that a national-level regional Satkosia Biosphere Museum would be set up in the Satkosia area.
According to the information received, the Chief Minister has approved the plan prepared by the Department of Science and Technology for the construction of a science city on the outskirts of the capital and asked for an immediate blueprint. The Department of Science and Technology has been asked to identify the land with the help of IDCO during this time.
Similarly, it has been decided to set up a special gallery at the Science Park to be built in Puri based on the scientific perspective of Jagannath’s rituals. A special science park will also be set up near Satkoshia Gand in Badamba-Narsinghpur area. Various aspects of biodiversity will be displayed here. Thus the preparations have reached the final stage.
