New Delhi: From August 2nd to August 15th, the Prime Minister told the countrymen in the 91st edition of the monthly radio program ‘Mann Ki Baat’ that social media should ‘display pictures’ of the Tricolor flag.
At the beginning of ‘Mann Ki Baat’, while discussing the issue of freedom of the country, Prime Minister Modi remembered revolutionary Uddam Singh (his 82nd death anniversary today) and paid tribute to all revolutionaries and those who sacrificed their lives for the country.
He further said, August 13th to August 15th is a special time ‘Har Ghar Triranga‘ will be organized on these three days. Let us take this movement further by hoisting the national flag at home.
August 2 has a special connection with the triangle. That day is the birth anniversary of Pingli Venkayaji who designed our national flag. “I also remember the great revolutionary Madam Cama who played an important role in shaping the triangle,” said Prime Minister Modi.
