New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) will question Congress party president Sonia Gandhi for the third time today in the ‘National Herald’ newspaper case. Yesterday, in the second phase, ED questioned Sonia for about 6 hours. Sonia will reach the ED office again today for the third phase of cross-examination. Congress workers have been protesting on the streets since the first phase against Sonia’s interrogation. Sonia’s son Rahul Gandhi was seen leading the demonstration yesterday.
Sonia reached the ED office yesterday with her son Rahul Gandhi and daughter Priyanka Gandhi. Sonia Gandhi accompanied her daughter Priyanka Gandhi Bhadra and son Rahul Gandhi to appear at the office of the Enforcement Directorate at 11:00 in the morning.
Protesting against this, the police barricaded outside the Congress headquarters during the first phase of Sonia’s interrogation due to the fear of the Congress workers creating a chaotic situation. However, angry protesting Congressmen broke the barricade and staged a protest.
Similarly, Rahul Gandhi was detained by the police during the protest yesterday. Along with him, the senior Congress leader was also detained by the police.
