State Government Advice to Prevent Online Fraud

The E&IT department has advised not to keep the bank account details in the mobile used by the child for studying.

Bhubaneswar: As online fraud is on the rise in the state, the state government‘s E&IT department has issued new recommendations to prevent it. The department has alerted the children and their parents.

According to IT Minister Tusharkanti Behera, children are unknowingly falling into fraud sites while using their mobiles.Data is being stolen from mobiles by clicking many links by the children. The Home Department has received many complaints about this

Therefore, the department has advised not to keep the bank account details in the mobile used by the child for studying. Children tend to spend a lot of time on smartphones and other electronic devices, which the internet provides. New advice from the E&IT department is to create a safe online environment for children by making them aware of potential cyber threats.
