Storm risk increased: Information from regional weather centers

Bhubaneswar: Cyclone risk increased in west-central Bay of Bengal. This information has been tweeted by the regional weather center.

According to information from the Regional Meteorological Center, yesterday’s cyclone was active in the North Andaman Sea and adjacent areas at 8:30 this morning and spread to 5.8 km of the atmosphere. Due to the impact of this cyclone, a low pressure area is likely to form over the south-eastern side of the pre-central Bay of Bengal in the next 48 hours. It is likely to move west-northwestwards and become a monsoon over central Bay of Bengal by 22nd. Later, it is expected to intensify further and take the form of a storm over the West-Central Bay of Bengal region.

The cyclone formed over the Andaman Sea and adjacent areas is becoming more dense than yesterday. As a result of this, a low pressure area is likely to form in the southeast Bay of Bengal region along the east-central side during the 20th.

According to meteorologists, a cyclone has formed in the South Andaman Sea and adjacent areas. It will gradually intensify and become a low pressure towards the 20th. In the next time, it will become more dense and likely to form a storm. However, although there is no accurate estimate of how much the impact of the storm will be and how strong it will be.There will be heavy rain in the state from next 24th to 26th under the influence of possible storm.
