Dumka: Basant Soren, brother of Chief Minister Hemant Soren and MLA of JMM has made a strange statement regarding the issue of going to New Delhi amid the political crisis in Jharkhand. A video of a statement given by Basant Soren to the media is now going viral. His Delhi visit was questioned in the press conference. He said that he went to Delhi to buy underwear for himself.
Basant Saren has given a strange answer to the question why did you go to Delhi amid the political crisis in the state. “Actually, I didn’t have underwear, so I went to Delhi to get them. There was a bit of political tension in the state but now everything is fine,” he replied.
Reacting to Basant’s statement, BJP MLA Bhanu Pratap Shahi tweeted, “When the tribal girl and sister of Dumka are being killed, the MLA and Chief Minister’s dear brother was busy buying underwear in Delhi instead of meeting the victim’s family.”
Actually, Basant Soren was scheduled to appear before the Supreme Court on August 29. Hemant Soren’s brother was also being questioned in the same case in the mining lease case.
