I take India with me wherever I go: Google and Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai

New Delhi: As India is a part of me, I take India with me wherever I go, said Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google and Alphabet, on the occasion of receiving the Padma Bhushan from the Indian Ambassador to the United States of America on Friday.

Sundar Pichai was awarded the Padma Bhushan, India’s third-highest civilian honor for 2022, in the category of commerce and industry. Madurai-born Pichai received the above honor in San Francisco on Friday, surrounded by close family members.

While receiving the Padma Bhushan from Taranjit Singh Sandhu, Ambassador of India to the United States of America, the 50-year-old Pichai said, “I am grateful to the Government of India and the people of India for such a great honor.” It is imperative to respect the country that I built in this way.

Recalling the issue of Prime Minister Modi’s vision of technology, Sundar Pichai said, Prime Minister Modi’s ‘Digital India Vision’ will definitely accelerate progress. I am delighted that Google has been investing in India for two decades in partnership with the government, businesses and organizations.

Ambassador Taranjit Singh Sandhu said, “I hope that Google will take full advantage of the digital revolution going on in India.”
