Kolkata: After Tamil Nadu, the show of ‘The Kerala Story’ was banned in West Bengal. The Bollywood film ‘The Kerala Story’, which was released in the theaters last Friday, has caused controversy in many places. After the Supreme Court, the Madras High Court refused to stay the film’s release on Thursday. The film then released on Friday. The film did good business upon release, but its release was banned in Tamil Nadu on Sunday.
After Tamil Nadu, Didi banned the screening of ‘The Kerala Story’ in West Bengal today. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced her decision at the state secretariat on Monday. Mamata Banerjee has directed the state chief administrative secretary to remove the film from all theaters in West Bengal. It is said that this decision has been taken to maintain peace in the state, so that there is no violence and crime in the state.
Taking this decision, Didi said, “The BJP government is giving money to the filmmakers to make Bengal Files film with false and wrong story. BJP is showing a film called ‘The Kerala Story’ which has no truth in the story. A few days ago, artists sent by BJP came to West Bengal. We have come to know that they are now preparing to make the film Bengal Files based on a false and incorrect story.
