Bhubaneswar: The Bay of Bengal is very busy this August. Low pressure areas are forming one after another. Two back-to-back depressions are likely to form in the Bay of Bengal this week, said Skymet, a private weather agency.
According to the Skymet report, the first low pressure will be created in the next 24 hours, i.e. by August 23. However, its impact will not be that much on Odisha. Because it will form in the northeastern Bay of Bengal and the coast of Myanmar & Bangladesh. However, in the next 24 hours, there will be another low pressure in the Bay of Bengal. It will form in the northwest Bay of Bengal and Odisha coast. Although there is a low chance of it developing into a strong depression, under its influence, Monsoon will be active in Odisha and heavy rainfall will occur. Skymet said that there is a possibility of heavy rain especially in Odisha, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh on 25th and 26th. By 27th and 28th, this low pressure will move towards central India and bring rain in West Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. By the first week of next September, the amount of rainfall will decrease.
