Mumbai: The dispute between popular TV show ‘Bigg Boss’ fame actress Urfi Javed and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Chitra Wagh is not over. On Friday, Urfi Javed filed a complaint against a BJP leader who made rude comments about Urfi’s dress. Mumbai Police has sent a notice to the actress.
Urfi’s lawyer Nitin Satpute said yesterday that Urfi has filed her complaint with the Maharashtra State Commission for Women. A complaint was filed against Wagh for threatening to harm the actress in a public place and committing criminal offences.
Earlier, the BJP leader had first approached the Women’s Commission alleging that Urfi’s outfit was spoiling the atmosphere of Mumbai. As the Women’s Commission did not pay enough attention, she approached the Mumbai Police. Now Mumbai‘s Amboli Police has summoned Urfi by sending a notice. The Mumbai Police Commissioner ordered to investigate the matter by sending a notice to Urfi to reach the police station.
Urfi Javed said in her complaint filed through the lawyer, “I have filed a complaint against BJP worker Chitra Wagh under sections 504, 506, 506(2) of the IPC.” I have also received threats to cause harm in public. Therefore, I have requested the commission to take preventive measures for my safety.
