Putin told soldiers' mothers: Your son did not die in vain

Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday met with the mothers of some of the soldiers sent to fight in Ukraine. Expressing his condolences to one of the women, Putin said, “Your son’s death was not in vain, he achieved his goal.”

President Vladimir Putin wanted to meet the soldiers’ mothers directly to understand the real situation. He told them that he is directly talking to the brave soldiers in the war field. He told mothers not to believe misleading war-related news on television or the Internet.

Nothing can compensate for the loss of his son, Putin said in a televised meeting at his official residence near Moscow. We must achieve our goal and finally we must achieve that goal.

In this meeting, Putin was sitting with 17 mothers around a big table. As a sign of mourning, some of them wore black turbans.

But, critics say, some of the mothers of the soldiers Putin met were members of the Kremlin movement. Some of them were carefully selected to attend the said meeting.
