Washington: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met US President Joe Biden at the White House after landing in the US on Wednesday.
This is Zelenskyy’s first foreign visit, 300 days after the attack on Russia. During the meeting, Joe Biden said, “I can’t believe that 300 days have passed in such a peaceful war.” Putin has launched a passive attack on Ukraine’s right to exist as a nation. There is no other reason for this attack except to terrorize the innocent Ukrainian people.
Biden’s Assurance to Volodymyr Zelenskyy
“You will never be destitute,” Biden told Zelenskyy at a joint press conference. Americans are always there for you and as long as you need them. I have no doubt that together we can keep the flame of freedom burning. That light will last forever and will triumph over darkness.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said, “I am grateful to Congress for the help.” Grateful to you Mr. President. Thanks to the bipartisan support, thanks to Congress. Our people are also grateful to the American people.
In addition, Zelenskyy told Ukraine will maintain its national dignity. Never surrender.
