Krishnakumar Kunnath KK

Krishnakumar Kunnath, popularly known as KK, was an acclaimed Indian playback singer known for his soulful voice and versatility across genres.

Born on August 23, 1968, in Delhi, KK developed an early passion for music.

After completing his schooling at Delhi's Mount St. Mary’s School and earning a commerce degree from Kirori Mal College, Delhi University, KK initially pursued a career in marketing before transitioning into music.

KK’s big break came when he moved to Mumbai in the late 1990s and released his debut album, Pal, in 1999, which became a major success and earned him instant popularity.

Bollywood hits and iconic songs like "Tadap Tadap" from Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, "Khuda Jaane" from Bachna Ae Haseeno, "Zara Sa" from Jannat, and "Aankhon Mein Teri" from Om Shanti Om.

KK’s music was celebrated for its emotional depth, and he became the voice behind countless romantic and soulful songs that resonated with audiences across generations.

His songs transcended languages and were recorded in various Indian languages beyond Hindi, including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.

KK's sudden passing on May 31, 2022, after a concert in Kolkata left fans and the music industry heartbroken.
