Nirmala Sitharaman

Nirmala Sitharaman was born on August 18, 1959, in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India.

She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Seethalakshmi Ramaswami College in Tiruchirapalli.

Nirmala Sitharaman is an Indian economist and politician serving as the Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs of India since 2019.

she is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and has previously held the position of Minister of Defence, becoming the second woman to do so after Indira Gandhi.
