DG Police reviewed the security arrangements for the winter assembly session

Bhubaneswar: DG Police Sunil Bansal has reviewed the security arrangements made by Commissionerate Police for the winter assembly session. He was accompanied by ADG Law Enforcement, DIG Guinda, Commissioner of Police, Bhubaneswar DCP, Traffic DCP and senior officers.

The winter assembly session of the Legislative Assembly will begin from tomorrow. It will continue till December 31. The commissionerate police has taken elaborate arrangements for the security of the winter session. At this time, the Assembly will be in a 3-seat security zone. A police camp will be made in and around the Assembly. For this, 34 platoons of police force will be deployed. Similarly, the striking force, bomb disposal team, dog squad, fire department etc. will keep a close watch on all aspects. Not only this, CCTVs have been installed from Assembly to Lower PMG, Rabindramandap Street and adjoining streets.

5 temporary police control rooms have been set up at 5 places like Assembly Gate, Rabindramandap Gate, Lower PMG etc. to tighten security. Under the leadership of DCP Pratika Singh, more than 100 officers including 5 additional DCPs, 11 DSP level officers, 13 IICs will be in charge.Police will also be present on the assembly roof. There are two checkpoints at the entrance.
