Cases of Counterfeit Medicines; 2 crore worth of medicines have arrived in Cuttack

Cuttack: The ghost company behind the fake drug trade in Cuttack. This ghost company has come to konw after smuggling fake drugs from Shree Balaji Agency in Shivajinagar, Bengaluru, Karnataka to Cuttack. The drugs controller explained that there is no drug supplier in Shivaji city.
In order to get caught in the hands of the police or drugs, there have come to know the fact that drugs are being sent to Cuttack by preparing bills in the name of such ghost organizations. Alok Kumar Mishra and Harish Kumar of Rampur area of Bihar Gaya district, who were arrested by the Purigat police, sent two crore worth of drugs from Balaji Drug Point in Rampur. Shivajinagar used to send medicines to Cuttack by preparing fake bills in the name of Shri Balaji Agency.
The police have seized separate bills in the names of companies in Bihar and Karnataka. The police are studying this bill. Rahul Kyal of VR Drug Agency in Cuttack and Sanjay Jalan of Pooja Enterprises bought more than two crore high blood pressure Telma-40 and Telma AM from Alok and Harish from Bihar, but so far the drug controller has not seized such a quantity of drugs.
In multiple stages, the police and drugs controller have seized fake drugs worth Rs 73 lakh, while Rs 40 lakh have been frozen. More than one and a half crore worth of medicines are said to be still in the market. Police investigation found that Rahul and Sanjay have been importing these drugs from Patna since January 2022.
