A 4.9 magnitude earthquake occurred in the Andaman Sea

New Delhi: A 4.9 magnitude earthquake occurred on Tuesday in Andaman Sea, Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Information about this has been received from the National Earthquake Center.

According to the National Seismological Center, the quake struck at 3:40 am in Andaman Sea. The depth of this earthquake was 77 km. The National Earthquake Center has given this information in a tweet.

Earlier on January 25, an earthquake of magnitude 5.8 was occurred in Nepal. The impact of the earthquake was so great that it caused tremors in various parts of North India, including Delhi and UP. Shortly after the earthquake, a five-storey building collapsed in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, killing three people. 8 more people were trapped under the broken building while 7 of them were rescued and admitted to a nearby hospital.
