India unbeaten in five-nation hockey: US lose by Anu, Nikita & Vaishnavi’s goals

Dublin: India remain unbeaten in the league stage of the five-nation Under-23 Hockey Championships in Dublin, Ireland.

In the last league match on Thursday, the Indian team defeated the United States 4-1 unilaterally. For India, Anu (49 and 52 minutes) scored two goals, while Nikita Toppo (48 minutes) and Vaishnavi Phallake (58 minutes) scored one goal each.

The only goal for the United States was scored by Hannah Miller (46 minutes). Earlier in the day, India beat Ukraine 3-0 in a match in Ukraine on Wednesday. India’s Nikita Toppo (33 minutes), Manju Chaurasia (44 minutes) and Beauty Dungdung (55 minutes) scored one goal each.

Earlier, India lost 4-1 to hosts Ireland, while they held on to a 2-2 draw against the Netherlands.
