Odisha assembly election 2024: Naveen Patnaik resigned from the post of Chief Minister today. He went to the Raj Bhavan at 11:35 and submitted his resignation letter to Governor Raghubar Das. After submitting his resignation letter, Naveen Patnaik has returned to his residence.

Odisha assembly election 2024 :BJD has faced a big defeat in the current election. BJD, which won 113 seats in 2019, managed to win only 51 seats in 2024 elections. With this, Naveen Patnaik’s hope of becoming Chief Minister for the sixth time has been dashed. As per the previous announcement, the BJP Chief Minister will take oath on June 10 as the BJP has won majority in 78 seats. Naveen had been the chief minister since 2000.
