Pakistan floods 33 million people affected, 982 dead and 6.8 lakh houses destroyed

More than 3000 kilometers of roads, about 150 bridges and about 7 lakh houses have been damaged in the flood

New Delhi: 982 people have died and 1,456 people have been injured in different parts of Pakistan due to floods, according to the media website ‘Dawn’.

Besides, more than 3000 kilometers of roads, about 150 bridges and about 7 lakh houses have been damaged in the flood, said the Disaster Management Agency of Pakistan.

This morning Pakistan’s news website ‘Dawn’ described the devastating scene. More than half of the country has been submerged recently, writes ‘Dawn’. Flash floods caused by abnormal monsoon rains have left large numbers of people homeless. Due to this unprecedented rain 5.7 million people are left without shelter and food.
