Indian Cricket: Suresh Raina retired from Indian cricket

Taking to his official Twitter account, Raina extended his support to BCCI, Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association, Chennai Super Kings, BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla and cricket fans for his cricketing journey.

New Delhi: Former Indian all-rounder Suresh Raina announced his retirement from all formats of the game on Wednesday. Taking to his official Twitter account, Raina extended his support to BCCI, Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association, Chennai Super Kings, BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla and cricket fans for his cricketing journey. One of the most prominent faces of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Raina failed to make it to the mega player auction earlier this year.

Raina confirmed that he will also be a part of the Road Safety World Series from September 10. Raina has been practicing for the past week. He has played 205 IPL matches, also informed that he has been approached for T20 leagues in South Africa, Sri Lanka and UAE. Raina can play for the team bought by CSK’s parent company India Cements in South Africa’s new T20 league.
